G E O R G I A

MYTHIC ARCHITECT | SACRED NATURALIST | VISIONARY STEWARD

I’m a poet, mother, and myth weaver living in the Appalachian Mountains. I’ve spent years walking the quiet spaces between language and land, where story meets soul and the ordinary becomes sacred.

I am the founder of The Weavers Collective, a mythopoetic platform and ceremonial ecosystem dedicated to ancestral reweaving, threshold tending, and soul-centered design.

My work is rooted in sacred naturalism, deep listening, and the belief that the living world is constantly speaking through symbol, rhythm, memory, and relationship.

I'VE BEEN ABSOLUTELY TERRIFIED EVERY MOMENT OF MY LIFE AND I'VE NEVER LET IT STOP ME. I'VE NEVER LET IT STOP ME FOR A SINGLE THING.

APPRENTICED BY LIFE

My background is in history, English, and religion, and I’ve spent nearly two decades homeschooling my four children while apprenticing myself to the forest and the rhythms of the living world.

I carry over 20 years of practice in folk herbalism, more recently deepened through a four years of friendship/mentorship with two Anam Cara friends, an experience that helped shape my understanding of sacred companionship, spiritual ecology, deep listening, and the transformative power of being witnessed within the unfolding of one’s own becoming. These relationships profoundly influenced the way I hold story, healing, creativity, and the slow work of remembering what is essential.

I’ve edited books, written poetry, co-created courses, co-hosted writing retreats, and gathered women around firelight and story, but the deepest shaping of my life has come through relationship to the land, to motherhood, and to the women who weave in this collective.

They have expanded my understanding of friendship into something sacred: a practice of mutual witnessing, creative devotion, honesty, and becoming. Through one another’s grief, beauty, work, and unfolding, we discovered the kind of belonging that asks us to arrive fully as ourselves.

This collective emerged from a desire to create a space capable of holding that kind of brilliance— a living ecosystem where story, creativity, healing, and soul-work could root deeply enough to transform us.

I am someone always returning: back to the body, back to the myth, back to the living thread that reminds us who we are.

My path has also included sacred naturalism, astrology, ancestral healing, trauma-informed mentorship, faith deconstruction, meditation, an Artist’s Way cohort, and somatic exploration— including work in a trauma cohort, studies in plant-based healing, and sacred listening practices that help weave coherence through the nervous system and the mythic field.

YOU GO OUT INTO THE WOODS, AND YOU LOOK AT TREES, AND SOME OF THEM ARE BENT, AND SOME OF THEM ARE STRAIGHT, AND SOME OF THEM ARE EVERGREENS, AND SOME OF THEM ARE WHATEVER. AND YOU LOOK AT THE TREE AND YOU ALLOW IT. YOU SEE WHY IT IS THE WAY IT IS. YOU SORT OF UNDERSTAND THAT IT DIDN'T GET ENOUGH LIGHT, AND SO IT TURNED THAT WAY. AND YOU DON'T GET ALL EMOTIONAL ABOUT IT. YOU JUST ALLOW IT. YOU APPRECIATE THE TREE.

THE MINUTE YOU GET NEAR HUMANS, YOU LOSE ALL THAT. AND YOU ARE CONSTANTLY SAYING 'YOU ARE TOO THIS, OR I'M TOO THIS.' THAT JUDGEMENT MIND COMES IN. AND SO I PRACTICE TURNING PEOPLE INTO TREES. WHICH MEANS APPRECIATING THEM JUST THE WAY THEY ARE.

THE PILGRIMAGE & RETURN

For two years, I traveled across the country with my family, listening, learning, and tracing the edges of what felt like home.

I walked borderline deserts and high-mountain forests, sat around the fire with strangers, and gathered fragments of myself scattered across landscapes.

That pilgrimage became its own myth— one offering a return to self.

It taught me how to live without a map, and how to recognize the thread when it appeared again.

As I've returned home, the Appalachian Mountains have been both teacher and mirror for me—a place where ancestral memory, ecological intimacy, hardship, beauty, and belonging braid tightly together.

At the heart of everything I create is a devotion to remembering: that we belong to one another, to the earth, and to the deeper story unfolding beneath our lives. Perhaps healing begins when story, body, imagination, and belonging are finally allowed to speak to one another again.
